Race Bikes and Stay Dry

... With Snacks

October is here and Dutch weather is incoming. What better time to stay inside and challenge your friends to bike races?

Flamme Rouge is easily one of my favorite games. It is definitely my favorite game to bring to the table with new people or people who don't normally play games. It's simple to learn and the rules explanation takes only a couple of minutes. Even kids have an easy time understanding how the game is played. What is the goal? Even simpler - cross the finish line first.

The expansions, Peloton and Meteo, add some extra ways to play the already great game without adding too much complexity. Peloton lets you play with up to six players and adds an option for playing solo or with up to twelve players with each person controlling one rider. Meteo, meanwhile, adds weather to the mix allowing for headwinds and spills.

Maybe, however, you still want to enjoy some bike racing indoors without all the setup required of a board game. In that case, Nando Boers' Het Plan is for you. Having been given unprecedented access to Team Jumbo-Visma's race plans and strategy during their during their fantastic 2022 races, Boers shares this access with you in incredible detail. He lays out the advanced training and leadership methods that made the team's rise possible from various interviews, reports on victories and setbacks, and his own insights from having been present.

So for this month's Bloggy Bundle we're offering Flamme Rouge with its expansions and Het Plan together so you don't have to make the decision right away. Enjoy and race on!
