Amsterdam is celebrating in 2025: the city will be 750 years old and is changing rapidly, just like all other global cities. Residents have strong opinions about these changes—and yet they all want to live there. Who are these people? And what kind of city is it, anyway? Who can call themselves a true Amsterdammer? And why do so many residents feel more like Amsterdammers than Dutch?
